On a serious note...this city is infested with skunks particularly vernon ave! It's ridiculous....2 years in a row now our dog has been sprayed in our backyard...we came from the town where not once did we even see a skunk and now its a regular occasion. In regards to yesterday's incident, I think it was disappointing how the situation was handled. The half dead skunk was left under the car next to the sidewalk to eventually either die or make it's way out from under the car. The owner of the car was notified not to go near the car because they could get sprayed however, no thought was made to pedestrians walking by on the sidewalk who do not know there is a injured skunk under the car and could have got sprayed and even attacked since the skunk would obviously be in defense mode. I mean really....in this day and age, we can't figure out how to remove a skunk without the FEAR of getting sprayed? Batavia doesn't have pest control that can come out and handle these situations?! FYI the skunk did make it's way out from under the car and wandered down the street going through everyone's yards...have no clue what happened to it..
