wow. stopped in at a friend's house out on s main st rd, near lover ln late sat night. house is on same side of creek. creek was FLOWING through basement, about 2 ft deep over top of sub pump. twigs and debris floated past acrest of murky water. 2nd fl patio deck could have docked a boat. a very wet, ominous situation for homeowners in that area!
Thanks Gee Dave. J.T. was correct in saying it was an ominous situation, an assessment that applies to wildlife as well. In a similar situation a year ago Claudia and I could only watch as a deer was being swept downstream. Its head was erect, its ears were straight up and on alert, but it could only go with the flow - no pun intended. I hope it was able to eddy out before becoming entangled in debris and drowning.
