Just noticed the new sign in front of First Niagara Bank on West Main - they updated their logo and made a tall sign, but no more time/temp sign. It was kind of handy for those of us that don't have temperature readouts in our vehicles (and it seemed pretty accurate also). Now we are down to one time/temp sign on Main St. in Batavia -the one in East Town Plaza.....oh well-may seem insignificant to some, was handy for others.

Too bad they didn't use the
Too bad they didn't use the money to get an ATM that works right. It's always broken and/or won't give a receipt. The thing is a relic and the employees know it, but they can't do anything about it. Nice new signs, but will also miss the time and temp thing.
I guess we should be thankful that First Niagara is still open.
Don't trust the clock/temp at East Town Plaza...watched it many times from the Golden Coin and it's not right all the time.

We noticed the lift there last week and thought they might be putting up a new time/temperature device.
I guess they thought a new sign was more appropriate.

It is real simple they are getting bigger and bigger so the big boys look at only one thing the bottom line. Electricity costs money. At one time Banks were part of the community and thought about the community today they think about the big prophets only.
Some day there will be a bank back in Batavia that thinks about batavia.

I loved the time/temp clock. Personally I don't carry a thermometer around in my pocket. But I agree with Irene...they probably thought that charging for it would be better. LoL sucks to be them.
