Kelly March, assistant children's librarian, invites children ages 5 through 12 and their parents to come to the Richmond Library, 19 Ross St., for the "Library Lego Club."
LLC meets from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. on the first and third Tuesday of every month, as well as from 10 to 11 a.m.on the third Saturday of the month.
Kelly begins each meeting with a story, and then gives the kids a challenge based on the story; for example, if the story is about winter weather, they are asked to make something winter-related out of Legos (sleds, snowmen, ice skates, etc.). Using their imaginations and Legos provided by the Friends of the Library, the kids have about 30 minutes to complete the challenge.
At the end of the meeting, they get to present their creations to the group and then put them in the library's display case, where they will stay until the next LLC session.
