Personally, I think the "Ship my pants" was one of the best I've ever seen. Which is probably why it didn't last long.

Eric - I think it's rather symbolic, the mall drawing in drops of despair from the sky instead of shoppers, the sound of each tap in the bucket a sobering reminder of better times, before half of Main Street was torn down for an empty hulk of brutalist architecture. Each time they begin to fill with rain from unsound roof, much like this failure in urban renewal itself, they are akin to tears running down the face of the City and a small reminder of what could have been....
