Pauly's Pizza will reopen in a couple of weeks, according to co-owner Paul Berardini.
The restaurant closed today for two reasons, Berardini said. First, it's time for some remodeling -- and the dead of winter is a good time to do it -- and the doctor ordered some rest for Berardini to take care of a minor medical issue.
In a couple of weeks, customers can expect a "healthy owner," a fresh cleaning, a new fryer hood and some equipment changes, Berardini said.
Get well Pauly!!!

Glad to hear it. Pauly does
Glad to hear it. Pauly does a ton for the community. Batavia wouldn't be the same without him.
Returning from Buffalo today
Returning from Buffalo today I noticed his Clarence store has been shuttered and the building is for sale. That's too bad.
Yeah,it's been closed since
Yeah,it's been closed since Nov. or Dec.-Pauly said he only had a year lease, and the owners put the building up for sale.Get well Pauly! Keep your focus on the Batavia store! It's always nice to see the owner working behind the counter, and greet you when you walk in.
Very close sources tell me
Very close sources tell me that Paulys is DONE! Some employees weren't even told and several came to work to LOCKED doors, phone is off (not even an answering machine explanation). Sounds like $$ was going out as fast as it was coming in. Bad bookeeping may have destroyed another small business. Too bad, good pizza!
I got a couple of gift cards
I got a couple of gift cards from there to use....I hope he's not closed for good..Great Pizza..
Letting the phone just ring
Letting the phone just ring endlessly and suspending their website seem a bit drastic for a two-week closure. If nothing else, it's really bad customer service relations.
