East Pembroke Fire Department was dispatched to locate the source and is back in service.

Ed, this is at least 5 miles
Ed, this is at least 5 miles east of Kutters. The reported smell was determined to be an onion field rather than natural gas.
There have been several
There have been several reports in the past of natural gas odor in the Pembroke area. On those occasions the explanation involved a leak associated with the odorant that is added to natural gas to give the distinctive smell. Apparently there is a mixing facility in eastern Erie County. ...Not to say that explains the current report, but it has been cited previously.
Thanks, Destin! My comment

Oh, BTW, Destin - 5 miles is nothin' when your opponent is agouda cheese! And Kutter's is some of the best I've ever had.
