It might not be quite spring cleaning, but with snow melting and the sun out, two city workers patrolled Main Street Downtown this afternoon looking for any litter that may have become visible. They are Shawn Easton and Shawn McAlister.
Would be nice if they would work on getting rid of the snow at the street corners on main st...The one at Main and Center is so high you cant see to make a turn onto Main Street..A couple a weeks ago someone spend all day marking all the snow banks with an X so that they would be removed..Looks like that never happened. Now the are wasting their time picking up a few papers..Who is running the DPW ?What a wasted of man power..
They did do the snow removal after they marked the banks. They worked through the night two nights closing off one side the Main St each night. Anywhere snow was not removed is where there is landscaping underneath would have been damaged. I thought they did a great job. All intersections on that portion of Main St. including Center have traffic lights, just wait a couple of minutes.

This would be a great job for some of the residents at the county's crowbar hotel.
I'd wager the labor union for
I'd wager the labor union for the city's civil service workers would get its panties severely knotted up if a chain gang were to perform the task.
