With great clouds in the sky, I couldn't resist going out for a drive this evening to see what sort of pictures I could make. I probably didn't capture as many "sky" pictures as I imagined, and the sunset wasn't what I had hoped, but it was a pleasant trip, nonetheless. The highlight was probably encountering Genesee Street in Alexander for the first time.

BTW: Regarding our previous conversation about Tonawanda Creek. The creek runs along a portion of Genesee Street and the creek is public property there as well.
As always, such great photos,
As always, such great photos, Howard. Love the "dappled" sky on Genesee St. So cool and yet, eerie in a way. Reminds me of years ago when I was in college at GCC, taking a photography class. We had assignments using black and white film. Back then, it was SO expensive to buy it. Believe it or not, color film was cheaper. We developed our own pics in a dark room at school. It was a fun and learning time.
One lesson we learned: Our photography teacher had us take random pics of whatever and wherever we wanted. Then we were to develop them and present them in class. He then put them up on the wall. He said, "Each and every picture is different, but yet there is something in EVERY one that is the same, what is it?" We were all dumbfounded. It was that we all CENTERED our subject in the pic. That is when he taught us that to make a good pic, the subject doesn't always have to be in the middle. I guess it was one of the early "think outside the box" moments.
Wow, that was a longer answer than I anticipated.
Beautiful pictures again
Beautiful pictures again Howard!
