It seems that typically very,
It seems that typically very, very few locals (Corfu, Darien, Batavia, Alden, Akron) are arrested at these events. If you're from across the border (and I have family who is ... forgive me) and you commit an illegal act here, you should NOT be allowed to return. While much of this is minor in comparison, big things start little. Our community does not need this infiltration. We have our own problems to deal with. As much good as Darien Lake has brought to this area (and I've been a neighbor for 46 years), I'm beginning to wonder if it's really worth it. I've supported and even worked at Darien Lake off -n- on since I was a kid, but I'm getting tired of the nonsense it bring to my hometown. Anyone else have input they'd like to share? I struggle with this issue a lot lately. I'd like to hear from you.
Fish in a barrel. It's nice
Fish in a barrel. It's nice to see that the local kids know how to get away with it. I say keep the concerts, arrest the ones that are stupid enough to get caught and keep filling the local coffers.
I agree with Jason, KEEP THE
I agree with Jason, KEEP THE CONCERTS. The number arrested is small when you take into account the number of people who attend the concerts.
Its still a larger number
Its still a larger number than spice and salts arrests by a long shot. shut it down, keep the riff raff out of our divine community.
Frank, Praise be to
Frank,
Praise be to GOD!!!!!!!!!!
It would not surprise me that
It would not surprise me that when the lease runs out for the performing arts center Darien Lake "pulls the plug" on the concerts. The company that owns the lake now owns other parks that are christian based and alcohol free. I also would not be surprised if the place went bankrupt if they were alcohol free. Like Thomas Jefferson said its like holding a wolf by the ears ,,, (he wasnt talking about booze though) ;-)
Whats funny about some of
Whats funny about some of these comments is that people need to look at themselves and their own children when criticizing others. I'm sure that I don't know everything that my kids do, but at least I interact with mine. I know their not walking the streets all night.
Closing a Concert venue isn't going to help anyones parenting skills. Same thing with the bath salts. I'm completely against their sale, but if parents continue to coddle or don't know what their children are doing or where they are most of the time, your kids will take advantage of it and walk all over you.
Talk to your kids. Do things with your kids. You're supposed to be a roll model and a parent ..... NOT THEIR BEST FRIEND.
The teen around here just
The teen around here just know how to not get caught. I like the concerts being here. The only thing I don't like is people speeding through the village afterward. More patrols need to be by the fireball instead of having them all at the intersection. I hope that they dont get rid of the concerts because I like it being so close if I want to listen or go.
