A severe thunderstorm watch has been issued for Genesee County starting at 5 a.m., Thursday.
UPDATE 10:56 p.m.: The National Weather Service is now issuing a severe thunderstorm warning from NOW until midnight. Winds up to 60 mph are expected.

Looks like it will be here well before 5am
It was in East Bethany long
It was in East Bethany long before 5am or even 4am. I got up at 3am for work and had been listening to it pour for a while before the alarm went off. The lightning was quite spectacular all the way to work between 4am and 5am. I rode the motorcycle to work wearing all of my rain gear and I must say the ride was quite exhilarating.
