On June 7, the New York State Judicial Commission on Women in the Courts – Eighth Judicial District Gender Fairness Committee will host its biennial celebration of Women Lamplighters in the Law Awards Luncheon in the Greenhouse Room at the Hotel Lafayette, 2nd Floor, Buffalo, at 11:45 a.m. The following honorees will be recognized for their leadership and outstanding contributions to the general and legal communities:
- Mary Jane Nevins, Esq., Retired Attorney, Cattaraugus County
- Lee Ann Lazarony, Dunkirk Treatment Court Coordinator
- Kelly Buckley, Chief Clerk, Erie County Family Court
- Michelle Parker, Esq., Executive Director, ECBA Aid to Indigent Prisoners Society
- Ayoka A. Tucker, Esq., Attorney, Civil and Family Law
- Antonia Gillison, Retired Secretary to Hon. Kevin M. Carter, Administrative Judge, 8th Judicial District
- Paula A. Campbell, Esq., Deputy County Attorney, Genesee County
- Hon. Laura Wagner, Support Magistrate and Justice of Town of Royalton, Niagara County
- Jamie Summers, Surrogate’s Court Chief Clerk, Orleans County
- Jennifer Wilkinson, Esq., County Attorney, Wyoming County
- Colleen Gibbons, IDV Resource Coordinator, Supreme/County Courts, Erie County
- Helen Z.M. Rodgers, Esq. (Posthumously), one of the first two women graduates at Buffalo Law School, class of 1899; activist in the women’s suffrage movement and was president of the Women Workers’ Suffrage League; In 1949, she was named as Buffalo’s Outstanding Business Woman by the Business and Professional Women’s Club.
