A two-car accident, blocking traffic, is reported at the intersection of Veterans Memorial Drive and Lewiston Road. There are minor injuries. Town of Batavia Fire Department and Mercy medics are responding.

UPDATE 8:14 p.m.: There are three patients, one of whom has chest pain and the other two are diabetic.

UPDATE 8:16 p.m.: The actual location is Lewiston and Park roads.

UPDATE 8:28 p.m.: So far, two patients are being transported to UMMC in separate ambulances, one for chest pain, the other for low blood sugar. The Town of Batavia fire assignment is back in service.

UPDATE 8:33 p.m.: The last patient is transported to UMMC.

A city Department of Public Works employee operating a street sweeper thinks he may have hit a car at Ellicott and Liberty streets. But he's not sure.

The worker told a police officer over the radio that "I was swinging out and he made a turn right in front of me. I think I hit him, but I'm not sure. He drove off."

A city police officer is responding to investigate.

An all-terrain vehicle accident with a female with spinal injuries is reported in Elba. The subject was able to be brought up to the railroad bed "so you should have access to the patient." Mercy Flight is on in-air standby. The accident is reportedly near the old railroad bed just west of Transit Road, north of Route 262.

Mercy Flight was on in-air standby and then cancelled.

A two-car accident with injuries is reported at Galloway Road and Route 63. Town of Batavia Fire Department and Mercy medics are responding.

UPDATE 12:56 p.m.: A second patrol car for traffic control is needed and two flatbed tow trucks. The accident is blocking the roadway. One person is complaining of arm pain.

UPDATE 12:58 p.m.: A second ambulance is called for and some absorbent to soak up a fluid spill.

UPDATE 1:08 p.m.: A woman with no visible injuries is being transporting to UMMC to be checked out.

UPDATE 1:31 p.m.: A man is being transported to UMMC now. He is alert and oriented and the medic says he may have briefly lost consciousness after the head-on collision in which there was airbag deployment.

UPDATE 1:34 p.m.: Town of Batavia fire crews are back in service.

A person on a bike reportedly ran into a pole on West Main Street near Woodrow Road and sustained an injury.

The description of the bike reportedly matches one stolen earlier from a trailer park on West Main Street.

City fire is on scene with Mercy EMS and police are responding.

The driver says it was Saturday morning's fog that caused him to miss a stop sign on Freeman Road, South Byron, but that didn't stop a deputy from charging him with DWI.

Charged was Brian R. Dilcher, 25, of Clinton Street Road, Batavia, who was also cited for alleged failure to stop for a stop sign.

Dilcher was eastbound on Freeman Road at 5 a.m. in a 1994 GMC pickup when he allegedly went through the sign at Coward Road, Byron.

His truck struck a Verizon utility box and then a tree.

Dilcher suffered minor injuries, but did not require ambulance transport.

The accident was investigated by Deputy Eric Seppala.

A man from Oakfield suffered minor injuries after his motorcycle struck a deer on Hutton Road, Oakfield, at 10:30 p.m., Thursday.

Following the accident, David Hendershott, 21, of Orchard Park Road, Oakfield, was transported by private vehicle to UMMC.

Hendershott was north on Hutton Road, near Duck Pond Road, on a 2008 KMCU when his bike struck the deer. Hendershott was thrown from the bike and the motorcycle came to rest on the east shoulder of the roadway.

The accident was investigated by Deputy Joseph Graff.

A driver who said she didn't see another car coming, attempted to make a U-turn on Route 5 near Powers Road, Batavia, leading to a two-car accident. This happened at 6:19 p.m., Friday.

The drivers of both cars suffered non-life threatening injuries and were transported to UMMC by ground ambulance.

Amanda M. Scherer, 18, of Beach Road, Cheektowaga, was driving west on Route 5 when she attempted the U-turn. Her car was struck in the back left quarter panel by a 1999 Honda SUV driven by Mary F. Doktor, 49, of Boyce Road, Corfu.

Scherer, who was driving a 2011 Toyota sedan owned by West Herr Toyota in Williamsville, was cited for allegedly making an illegal U-turn.

Steven J. Raimondi, 18, a passenger in Scherer's car, was not injured.

The accident was investigated by Deputy Brad Mazur.

A driver was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana after being involved in a motor vehicle accident on Albion Road, Oakfield, at 2:58 p.m., Saturday.

The driver made a left turn into a drive and told Deputy Timothy Wescott that she had time to beat the southbound car that struck her 2006 Toyota.

The driver of the other car, a 1999 Chevy SUV, Lawrence E. Rebert, of East Shelby Road, Oakfield, was transported by ground ambulance to UMMC with minor injuries.

Charged with UPM and failure to yield the right of way was Andrea C. Rosone, 30, of Albion Road, Oakfield.

The accident occurred in the area of 6478 Albion Road, Oakfield.

A two-car accident with injuries is reported in Oakfield in front of 6475 Albion Road, just north of Lockport Road. Oakfield Fire Department is responding along with medics.

UPDATE 3:50 p.m.: At least one person has been transported to UMMC with injuries, apparently non-life threatening. Two tow trucks have been called in. Law enforcement is at the scene.

UPDATE 3:58 p.m.: All units are clearing the scene, back in service.

A Rochester man heading westbound on Lockport Road reportedly said he was looking at his GPS and didn't see a stop sign at the intersection with Route 98 before his pickup truck slammed into the minivan of a Albion resident.

Neither driver was seriously injured.

David Youngman, 55, of Yankee Court, Rochester, was cited for alleged failure to stop for a stop sign.

His truck struck a minivan driven my Marcia Zambito, 59, of Allen Road, Albion.

Zambito was taken to UMMC by ground ambulance with a complaint of pain in her leg and arm.

Youngman was transported to Strong Memorial Hospital, because he's a Rochester resident, with a complaint of chest pain.

A serious motor-vehicle accident with at least four injured people is reported in Elba at Route 98 and Lockport Road.

Two Mercy Flight helicopters are en route, one from Batavia, one from Buffalo.

Elba Fire Department and Mercy medics are also en route.

UPDATE 10:27 p.m.: The Buffalo helicopter is canceled per the first responder, but the Batavia helicopter is definately needed. Fire police are told to shut down traffic at Route 98 at Old Route 98 and also at Route 98 at Ridge Road.

UPDATE 10:35 p.m.: Mercy Flight out of Batavia is also canceled.

UPDATE 11:38 p.m: There are no serious injuries.

A head-on collision, with one victim complaining of chest pain, has been reported on Route 5 at Powers Road in the Town of Batavia.

The road is blocked.

East Pembroke Fire and Mercy EMS responding.

UPDATE 6;30 p.m.: A second ambulance is requested to the scene.

A pickup has hit a pole near Akron Road on Route 77, Indian Falls, and power lines are reportedly down and arcing.

Pembroke and Indian Falls fire departments dispatched.

Route 77 is being closed.

UPDATE 9:16 p.m.: It sounds like the driver ran down Phelps Road toward the trailer park.

UPDATE 9:30 p.m.:  A witness reports that somebody said there were two people in the vehicle and one of them is lying in the weeds. Because of the live wires, firefighters are unable to approach the vehicle. National Grid will be on scene soon to shut down power and responders can investigate.

UPDATE 9:38 a.m.: National Grid on scene. The immediate area of Indian Falls is about to lose all power.

UPDATE 9:40 p.m.: Power in the area has been cut. Emergency responders checking around the houses and in the tall weeds. A resident on Akron Road reported seeing a person with bare feet apparently fleeing the scene.

UPDATE 9:45 p.m.: As soon as National Grid moves the lines out of the road, Route 77 will be reopened.

UPDATE 9:48 p.m.: National Grid's website says power will be out until 11:30 p.m. State Department of Transportion requested to the scene. Chief reports, "We've got some pretty nasty holes down here."

UPDATE 9:51 p.m.: A DOT rep not expected on scene for at least an hour. He will check the roadway damage and determine whether repairs can wait until the morning.

UPDATE 10 p.m.; Indian Falls and Pembroke about to go back in service. No word on either subject reportedly in the vehicle.

UPDATE 10:03 p.m.: Mercy EMS put back in service.

A two-car accident with air-bag deployment and injuries is reported at 8975 Wortendyke Road in front of Bontrager's Auction Center in the Town of Batavia.

East Pembroke rescue and Sheriff's deputies are en route. A person on scene says injuries are minor, but the vehicles are blocking the roadway.

UPDATE 7:15 p.m.: Mercy medics are transporting one patient to UMMC and the other person involved in the accident signed off for treatment and therefore will not receive any.

A bicyclist hit by a semi-truck on Route 33 near Terry Hills earlier today may have been under the influence of drugs, according to a Sheriff's Office accident report.

Gregory Seppe, 53, of Prestige Crossing, Batavia, was transported to Strong Memorial Hospital by ground ambulance with an apparent head injury and in a semi-conscious state.

Witnesses told Deputy Chris Parker that Seppe appeared under the influence of drugs prior to the accident.

The truck driver, Brandan P. Smith, 27, of Munger Street, Bergen, said he saw the bike swerving into his westbound lane prior to his truck getting to Seppe's location. Then the bike returned to its own lane. Smith said he moved partially into the eastbound lane to try and avoid the bicyclist.

As the truck passed, Seppe apparently swerved into the westbound traffic lane again and was struck by the trailer on Smith's truck.

Seppe's son told Parker that Seppe had just left his residence and appeared to be highly impaired by drugs.

The son's neighbor told Parker that he saw Seppe fall down three times prior to leaving on the bike.

No citations were issued.

A semi-truck versus bike accident with injuries is reported in front of Terry Hills Golf Course, 5122 Clinton St. Road in the Town of Batavia. The bicycist is conscious and complaining of a head injury. Town of Batavia Fire Department and Mercy medics are responding.

UPDATE 11:26 a.m.: The bicyclist is being transported to Strong Memorial Hospital. Town of Batavia Fire Department is back in service.

A car attached to a motorhome on Route 77, Alabama, became unhitched, and it careened into a tree and then a house.

The accident is in the area of 7781 Alleghany Road.

There are no injuries reported.

Alabama Fire Department dispatched.

A toddler reportedly fell from the second-story window of a residence on East Avenue earlier this evening.

The condition of the child is not available at this time.

The child was taken by ground ambulance to UMMC.

The exact circumstances of the fall are not available at this time.

A motorcycle accident, possibly with injuries, isreported on Assemblyman R. Stephen Hawley Drive, Batavia, just west of Batavia-Stafford Townline Road.

Town of Batavia Fire Department and Mercy EMS dispatched.
