By James Burns

An immature Turkey Vulture was in a yard behind Batavia Middle School, off of East Ave, eating a little carrion this afternoon. The bird made an unusual appearance in town to clean up a little yard waste before moving on. It circled the school a few times before floating away on the wind currents.;

I'm number 14 with the goatee.  All pictures were taken by Chelsea.

This was a hard fought come from behind tie by Rochester.  Great job boys, next time with an impartial ref we can easily defeat them.

Rainbow in Batavia

By Brian Hillabush

 I was just leaving Genesee Community College after covering the Alexander/Notre Dame girls soccer game (coverage in sports).

A rainbow showed up as the rain slowed, starting from one side of the college and ending out back beyond the soccer fields and past the thruway.

I snapped a couple of shots.
