Town of Batavia Fire and Mercy EMS, along with Sheriff's deputies, responded today at 3:45 p.m. to a report of a car and motorcycle collision on Clinton Street Road, Batavia, near the entrance to Terry Hills Golf Course.
Deputies say a 2004 Honda motorcycle was headed east on Clinton Street when a 2020 Chevy Equinox pulled out from the entrance at Terry Hills, heading west on Clinton Street, and struck the motorcycle at a right angle. The male motorcyclist, from the Chili area, was ejected from his motorcycle about 3 to 4 feet and suffered a left arm and lower left leg injury. The driver of the Chevy Equinox reportedly did not see the motorcycle.
According to Sgt. Krzemien with the Genesee County Sheriff's Department, the motorcyclist suffered serious, but non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to Strong Hospital via Mercy Flight. The driver of the Chevy Equinox, from Amherst, was not injured and was issued a ticket for failing to yield. Alcohol was not a factor in the crash.
Also charged during the accident was the driver of a vehicle that drove around barricades at Seven Springs Road and Clinton Street.
"The driver told the fire chief on scene that his tee time was too important and he didn't care that there was someone fighting for their life in the middle of the roadway," Sgt. Krzemien said.
That driver was charged with failure to obey a designated flag person. A deputy delivered the ticket to the driver on one of the greens on the golf course.
The Stafford Fire Department was also called to assist with traffic during the accident.
UPDATE: An accident report released by the Sheriff's Office states that a 2020 Chevy four-door sedan was exiting 5122 Clinton Street Road, Batavia, at 3:42 p.m. According to the report, the car was driven by Dale Richard Gillmer, 70, of Buffalo. Brandon M. Pfeifer, 46, of Rochester, was riding a 2004 Honda motorcycle. Gillmer's sedan t-boned the motorcycle. Gillmer was issued a traffic ticket for failure to yield right of way.

Yea, but I got pics where
Yea, but I got pics where police retaliated and refocused the tee timers issue onto the residents of country meadows who were refused access to their homes, children, pets, and medications needlessly despite there being 4 or so entrances to the park over a span of miles. So who is in the wrong? The first guy or the professionals who refused access to innocent people picking up kids from bus stops despite the accident being hundreds of feet to a mile away. My mom didn't deserve no access to her meds and pets and having to wait over an hour as a diabetic in a hot car like the many others that were refused access as residents of country meadows. I think the police messed up worse. The fire fighter told me to my face that my mother couldn't go home. The only thing blocking access was cones..... Far far from the incident. Also, why was sunset and pine hollow shut down? They weren't even allowing us to walk around the outside of the marked off crash scene to access property and things we needed.
Police brutality is also
Police brutality is also bullying and refusing access to needy people because they are mad at one guy. I was in the car with my mom over an hour despite us seeing a very clear entryway to the entire park, I essentially lost an hour of my life, as everyone else did, to ensure my mom got home ok because the police department wanted to act like children and refused to properly address access for residents when there was more than adequate room to reroute simply because they were angry at 1 golfer.
Nobody who lived there could
Nobody who lived there could enter or leave at any point of entrance to get to work or the store or anything. That is uncalled for. Way to go Batavia police. Imagine if a cancer patient or dialysis patient waited after therapy exhausted without their post therapy rest because the Batavia police was mad at 1 guy. There's so many older folks in that place that my mother personally helps. So many residents chip in to help each other there and it was at a standstill today because the police got mad at 1 guy. Everyone there went without. Ridiculous.
My mom and her neighbors
My mom and her neighbors suffered today because the police were mad at 1 golfer. Thank you for that Batavia police. Can't say you don't want 1 guy to cross you but it's ok if you take that out on hundreds...... Nice. All of country meadows was held in arrest today because 1 guy ticked off the police. I thought that being a public servant or officer meant finding the best way to solve issues and serve the public during emergency response, but these guys just wanted a fight. If you treat the people like trash, then they will respond with zero respect. Nobody there was being unruly or rude to the police, but they had real issues that needed addressed, and these residents were met with complete disrespect and attitude from responders when asking how to access their homes and handle their responsibilities. Everyone felt awful for the poor guy but that doesn't mean they can't ignore their meds and dietary needs and fluid intake and kids and pets and bathroom habits. There were so many solutions to the problems and all it would have taken is 1 guy moving everyone through the parking lot into the park.... But again they were mad at 1 guy and decided to shut 3 miles down and refuse to regulate anyone's needs because 1 guy ticked them off. Oh .. and then they have the audacity to shame 1 person for inappropriate behavior when their behavior was far worse. Maybe the police here need to reflect inward and focus on how they harm others as opposed to blaming others.
Also, they were letting ppl
Also, they were letting ppl stand by the cones but not walk beyond them, on both sides of the cones. It was not a scene barrier.... It was simply to refuse access as punishment for what the golfer did. I have photos of us pedestrians standing on either side of the cones but being refused to walk to the other sides in either direction. We could walk up to the cones, but not pass them, either side. In a full empty parking lot, but were being stopped by personnel for trying to cross. There was no purpose for it. We could shake hands over the cones but not cross. Tell me the point of allowing people to be on either side of a parking lot but not crossing the middle point. Control and retaliation. That is all it was. I got closer to the scene than I did to crossing the cones on foot. Tell me about that please. Someone had some crazy power trip after the golfer guy. Literally took anger out on good citizens.
