Twenty-five-year-old Tonya Marie Weber is apparently having a tough week with local law enforcement.
Yesterday we reported that Weber was arrested for allegedly possessing stolen property -- a pit bull puppy. Now, we get a press release stating that she is in trouble for allegedly trespassing at the demolition derby Saturday night.
Weber, of 52 N. Pearl St., Oakfield, had been reportedly kicked out of the venue for allegedly fighting and later returned, which led to the trespass charge.
Here's our previous blotter item on Weber:
Tonya Marie Weber, 25, of 52 N. Pearl St., Oakfield, is charged with criminal possession of stolen property. Weber allegedly had a pit-bull puppy that belonged to another person. She then reportedly gave the puppy away, preventing the original owner from recovering the puppy.
UPDATE Tuesday, 10 a.m.: Make that three times this week for Weber. According to a Batavia PD report, Weber was arrested at 2:50 a.m. Sunday at Sport of Kings on a disorderly conduct charge. Weber was allegedly in the parking lot making loud noises and yelling profanities. She was reportedly warned that if she continued to yell profanities, she would be arrested. According to the report, she agreed to settle down. She then entered the restaurant and sat at a table. She again allegedly started yelling profanities. At that point, she was placed under arrest.
although there is some humor
although there is some humor connected to this story (or these stories) it is kinda sad...I would imagine Tonya has some mental health issues she is not dealing with and I hope she gets help. These are all pretty minor offences, and the judges(s) will more than likely recognize that there are some issues going on.
i think the only thing wrong
i think the only thing wrong with her is she cant handle her alchohol.
Some people just don't learn.
Some people just don't learn.
Okay, if it is alcohol
Okay, if it is alcohol related then how is she getting from Oakfield to Batavia and such? Who are the people she is riding/hanging with ? I really hope they do a Mental Health evaluation. Something is not right and its gonna become serious soon.
just because people do stupid
just because people do stupid things doesnt mean they have mental health issues. it seems like everytime somebody does something dumb and gets busted for it 20+ people on here say they have mental health issues and need to seek help. Face it some people are just plain stupid. before jumping to a mental conclusion try and find out facts about people. my previous statement was based on known facts she not mental just had a bad upbringing and is a alcoholic. plain and simple people can just be DUMB!!!!!
Okay, if she is that "dumb"
Okay, if she is that "dumb" there might be a mental defect issue that needs to be addressed. At 25 years old and being arrested three times for those kind of offenses in such a short period of time raises a flag to me.....
I'm not going to speculate
I'm not going to speculate about a specific individual, but three arrests in a short period of time, is statistically insignificant. Speculating about her mental state and such is rather far fetched. I don't want to characterize her in any way, but let's just say that lots of people break lots of laws, including the laws allegedly broken here, and never get caught. A person could easily go along for years violating lots of minor type of laws and never get caught, then get busted seven times in a short period of time. It's just a statistical anomaly not an indictment on the person's mental health. And, additionally, good people can be going through life just fine, have a couple of things go wrong, they start acting out a bit and the cops just happen to be around at the time they do it. If the cops hadn't been around, maybe they return to their nice quite life and are never arrested for anything. I just think it's a bit unfair to speculate about what's going on with a person. We just don't know everything there is to know about these situations.
I guess I just felt a bit of
I guess I just felt a bit of compassion for a "small town" persons "dumbness". I hope that her relatives are small business owners because she will be able to afford proper legal council. I dont expect you, Howard to speculate on the News you supply but I am suprised that you cant see how there might be some underlying issues going on with this individual. Oops thats right you were a cop, er, an MP. Well, welcome to Genesee County and Batavia ! Home of the scufflaws ! (joke). I do see your point.
95% of the American
95% of the American population are stupid and not in the intellectual sense. it seems like nobody has commen sense anymore and just because you think somebody is that dumb they need mental health, are you a psychologist, u have your phd in mental disorder. youve made many speculations about people on here and without knowing the facts i think that's pretty dumb, so if we use your same logic you should be the one seeking help from a licensed professional. now that's not an attack or insult im just trying to prove a point. people can do many many stupid things and the fact is there just plain stupid, nothing more nothing less and most of the time they live rather blissfully in there ignorance. your same logic would also have most religious people put in an institution as well
I can definately use some
I can definately use some help from a licensed professional but I cant afford it ! (teehee).
So 95% of us are stupid. Let
So 95% of us are stupid. Let me guess Jason - you are in the 5% that aren't?
Hi I was at sportos when
Hi I was at sportos when everything happened with Ms. Weber I just want to say the facts are not right at all. First of all she wasn't running around like a nut using profanity. Yes she used a little bit of profanity, but not to an extreme. There was a fight not involving her that had happened. Ms. Weber was just trying to help out a few friends and she just happened to be at the wrong place at the wrong time. Why does everyone assume she has mental health problems because she got arrested for a few things? Maybe shes just having a rough time right now? It's no ones buisness as to why she is either. People get arrested all the time for worse things then what had happend with her. In the entry it says she sat down at a table and then got back up again, and that didnt happen she never sat back down. Also she was in the parking lot yelling profanites? , yes that may of happened but they didnt mention the 20 plus others that were doing the same thing either. The statemens make it seem like she was just there being obnoxious and yelling for no reason, when in fact there was a definite reason, because of a fight. None of you were there or even know her, so please dont just assume things. Only people that will ever know what happened are the ones who were there and seen first hand. Thank you to all that spoke up and defended her against the mean comments on her at leasr there's some people in this world that doesn't make assumpitons with out knowing what really happend
I am sorry that I mentioned
I am sorry that I mentioned any type of mental illness/defect. I do not know the facts of the matter but what I have read thus far in this post. I forget what a stigma it is to mention any word like mental health. I would like to agree with everyone and say it was a normal bad day, or week, and chalk it up to stupidity, alcohol, and good reasoning.
Questioning her mental health
Questioning her mental health was not meant as an attack or as to demean her. A mental health problem could be likely, depression and anxiety are very real problems.
She could also be having a very bad week, and the police just happened to be around.
It could also just be one HUGE incident with three separate problems and charges.
What is so wrong with bringing up possible mental health problems?
ok beth 5% of the us
ok beth 5% of the us population is about 1,535,171 people. its not as small and as elite as you think. and if you actually read my post instead of the first sentence you would see that i said that they weren't intellectually stupid. it was more directed towards common sense but i guess i needed to spell it out for the other 95%
I read it. I'm still
I read it. I'm still wondering if you consider yourself part of the 5%.
Beth, using his figures, that
Beth, using his figures, that means that less than 1% of the population of Batavia have common sense.
hmmmmmm.
I wonder where he gets his
I wonder where he gets his data from. Some sort of common sense survey?
wow common sense survey thats
wow common sense survey thats real witty. i dont know if i can compete with that. you got me beth. but take a look at this site for example everyday at least two people are posted on here for dwi. i guess it takes alot of common sense to get behind the wheel when drinking, not to mention the countless other crime postings on here but hey what do i know maybe i should get some data from some sort of survey. and to answer your question yes i do consider myself part of that 5% i have never once gotten behind the wheel of a vehicle after i have had any amout of alcohol, i dont use drugs and i dont smoke. can u say the same
hi. this is tonya weber, i am
hi. this is tonya weber, i am sitting here w/ my friend angel, reading what everybody has to say...and i would just like to make it clear to everyone. No i do not have any kind of Mental Illness, nor do i have an alcohol problem. I have just ran into a hard time in life, went out to have a good time. And ended just having a bad night. No luck on my side.....For those of you(especially)shauna, that decided not to ridiqual me> Thank you very much.
This is tonya.i appreciate
This is tonya.i appreciate the back up. yes you are correct. im having a rough one. and have for months now. people jumped to conclusions, as if they have never done no wrong. i just wanted to say thank you
Jason, what's wrong with a
Jason, what's wrong with a little drug use now and then? Some of the best literature ever written was done by authors under the influence of opiate narcotics.
One doesn't have to be a 95 percenter in order to enjoy a bit of chemical intoxication from time to time. Drug use is and always has been one of mankind's favorite past times. The problem arises when certain individuals get carried away, act irresponsibly and ruin it for everyone else.
Just because you claim you've never driven while impaired, never taken any drugs recreationally and never smoked, does that qualify you for the 5%, common sense club?
Don't get me wrong. I think so many people have zero common sense but that's just my opinion based on direct observation over the past 46 years. However, as I look around me at the complex structures, bridges, hospitals, universities, public servants, business owners, teachers..etc, I know that there are brains in the world that I can't compete with. I'm glad those people make this world what it is and I would bet money that a lot of them enjoy a good buzz now and then and not just from alcohol.
