I'm curious... Aren't there a few more local schools with football teams aside from Holley, Oakfield-Alabama and Notre Dame? It seems to me that Pembroke had a team. Didn't Elba and Byron-Bergen combine to field a team? And Alexander had a team last I knew... And LeRoy... And Batavia... Albion and Barker... I wonder what those teams are doing this season...
I can only cover one game on Friday and one on Saturday. I haven't looked at the schedule for next week yet, but what I'll look at is first, what haven't I covered yet, location of the game (for example, no way was I driving to Hornell to cover Le Roy this weekend) and then how big the game was (don't care who else was playing on Saturday, there is no way I wasn't going to cover Holley v. Notre Dame). Albion and Barker are both out of our coverage area, so unless they're playing a Genesee County school, I'm not likely to cover them. And I covered Alexander v. Holley last weekend.
Howard, I might suggest you head east on rt. 5 friday night, and check out the Leroy/CalMum game. While both teams are having uncharacteristic down years, this is arguably the best rivalry in section five, and one of the best in the state. In a couple of districts with maybe 10,000 people total, half will be in Caledonia on 10/9/09. It even has a fan club on facebook: http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=5163764301
These teams date back 100+ years, and are arch enemies, in a very positive way! GO KNIGHTS

I wasn't refering to video
I wasn't refering to video coverage. Just the scores and a few stats would be enough. What happened to your sports editor?
Howard, Maybe C.M. is asking
Howard,
Maybe C.M. is asking for a job?
