It may be the most anticipated gym opening in Batavia, if not world, history, but Ken Mistler sent a message to his Facebook followers announcing that Next Level Fitness will finally open.
The three-level workout center at Main and Jackson will start straining muscles and pumping hearts on Jan. 2.
Mistler will close Better Bodies on Dec. 24 and use the next week to move equipment from the old gym to the new.
Mistler will be at Next Level on Jan. 1 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. to give tours and sign new members.

Most people who belong to a gym workout at the YMCA. How will this new gym be better? Are memberships month-to-month or long-term? Will the cost of membership be competitive with the Y? Will there be childcare available?
Good luck with this venture. Batavia is long overdue for a modern gym and a face-lift to the downtown area.

I don't want to quote the price, since it's not my place, but it is my understanding it's going to be quite affordable.
The facility inside is first-class. Kenny's really put a lot of effort into remodeling the interior. I haven't seen all the equipment yet, but what's in there now is quality.
There is a room for child care.

Kudos to Mr. Mistler for all of his efforts downtown. My wife goes to the gym he currently owns and she has nothing but good things to say about the facilities and the staff. I'm sure the newly remodeled building will be even better.
