Billie will handle the bulk of the site update duties over the next two days.
I'll be in Washington, D.C.. I'll be participating in a meeting on the future of journalism, where I've been invited to discuss The Batavian. The group hosting the discussion is preparing a White Paper on the topic. The study group is made up of academics and government officials.
I'll be online as often as possible (multitasking as always, except when I'm on a plane or it's my turn to speak).

Howard, enjoy D.C. it is a great city, The Smithsonian Museums alone are worth the trip. I lived near D.C. when I was in the service, and my 2 oldest were babies. We would go there (Smithsonian) on Saturdays and Sundays because it was free (and so was parking) pack lunch and just wander until tired. Good memories. I participated as a honor guard to the Navy Memorial dedication on PA Ave. There is now a small museum near the monument, that is a good visit also. The Old Post Office and Union Station are good too. It is all within walking distance of the Capitol. Hope the weather co-operates.
