Yes, I would love to see the state change the way it's run. The bad side is that it will cost a lot of money to do this and take 3 years, and I don't know that we have time or money for it. Heck of a dilemma.
Rand Paul "I have a message, a message from the tea party, a message that is loud and clear and does not mince words," Paul said at his victory rally. "We've come to take our government back."
Richard, that is so true and about time that it should happen. I don't know if any of us will ever see that but sure would be nice if it was once again "of the people and by the people."
A new state constitution that includes term limits for state AND local elected officials would be worth the time, money, and effort. We owe it to future generations.
Be careful of people who say, they are “taking back government” or “fighting for the people”. I listened to a few interviews from those who won the primaries yesterday and people from both parties are all saying the same things. They are saying what you want to hear. At this point, I find it hard to believe anyone who is involved with politics on the national level is working for anyone but, themselves. Or are rational…
I also keep hearing everyone is “angry”. If you’re “angry” about politics you need to have your head examined. I can see disappointed but, to put that much emotion into something you personally have no control of is irrational.
In my opinion we need strict term limits and the abolishment of political parties. We don’t need “angry” people or some self anointed savior.
Wishing for something to change your way can be very nice. But! Be very careful of what you ask for. A majority of the delegates will most likely be from NYC.
Why is anger inappropriate when the taxes you pay support a governement that is legislating against the will of the people. I think anger is a perfectly understandable emotion when those who pay the way are ignored.

Nobody would not to serve a career in politics if they could only draw part-time salary tied to minimum wage.
And if somebody wanted to serve 30 or 40 years drawing not that much money and no pension, then bless them.
