Scott F. Doll, convicted today of murder, 2nd, for the beating death of Joseph Benaquist, was arrested, seemingly, as soon as he entered the Genesee County Jail.
According to a Sheriff's Office press release, Doll tried to conceal on his body a green balloon containing a white powdery substance.
The substance has been sent to a lab for testing.
Doll will appear in Batavia City Court on June 1 to answer the charge of promoting prison contraband, 2nd.
The investigation is continuing, according to the Sheriff's Office.
UPDATE: Added newest Genesee County Jail mug shot of Scott Doll.

probably cyanide!!
Does this guy have no common
Does this guy have no common sense?
Cops don't lie never did.
Cops don't lie never did. What You Don't know is that they were taught to lie at the academy. False statements are purger y up to a 10000 dollar fine. You keep being a good citizen. Don't lie tell the truth. because you have to. It only applies to you. I was at this trial waiting for the verdict just be for it was read this paper showed up. We had no clue. They knew be for us. Who's in bed with who.
HUH? Did I say HUH? Yeah,
HUH? Did I say HUH? Yeah, nobody ever lies... Can you see my eyes rolling outta my head?
Tony, what does this mean? "I
Tony, what does this mean? "I was at this trial waiting for the verdict just be for it was read this paper showed up. We had no clue. They knew be for us. Who's in bed with who. "
How did anybody know the verdict before it was read?
And I can assure you, having been through a law enforcement academy, cops are not taught how to lie.
Tony, You're a fool. Even
Tony,
You're a fool.
Even Doll and Doll's attorney never said any police officer lied. His lawyer did say there were things the police should have done, in his opinion, but never that they lied.
Tony, Please clarify your
Tony,
Please clarify your rather confusing post.....
I am pretty sure you just
I am pretty sure you just messed up your appeal and future motions ! (I would love to see his attorney's face when he found out). "D'OH" ! Homer Simpson.

He was a State Correction
He was a State Correction Officer. He had to know they would search him, or did he think he'd get special treatment?
So Tony going off your line
So Tony going off your line of thought that cops are taught how to lie in the academy wouldn't it be safe to say that since Doll a former corrections officer having been through the state corrections officer academy was taught how to lie as well?
Can a dispute over 2 used
Can a dispute over 2 used cars be a motive to murder? May he be covering for someone, against his will?
Looks like the State will
Looks like the State will still be paying for his retirement. I wounder who slipped him the drugs in court maybe his girlfriend the corrections officer?
He had been out on bail so no
He had been out on bail so no one would have had to slip him any drugs.
Just posting to stick up for
Just posting to stick up for Tony and his post last night. Tony is very good friends with Scott and his entire family. Obviously he was very upset with the outcome of this trial!! Give him a break.
And to comment toward Gabor Deutsch!!! being a Corrections Officer myself, I would not want to be locked up facing life in prison. Pretty sure that wasn't recreational drugs he was trying to smuggle into the jail(I'm sure they'll never release what the substance really was). If you know what I mean. I think he was just preparing for the worst. As far as an appeal goes...I'm thinking there is plenty to go back to, if his lawyers could be more prepared next time!!!!

Maybe my video was in bad taste.

I don't think anyone would want to be locked up facing life in prison. I don't understand why they would not release what the substance actually was that he tried to smuggle into prison but just the fact that he did will probably be a negative action on his part. Maybe if what you are implying is true then that can be used only as a negative action. Remember he has not been sentenced yet nor had time to work on an appeal.
Scott wasn't the prime
Scott wasn't the prime suspect in this case. He wasn't even a runner up in a group of suspects. He was the only suspect. There wasn't any evidence for anyone else. and as for Scott trying to blame his own son? his son has size 14 shoes, Scott has size 10. his defense lied about the entire circumstances of the case. Scott never did business on a Monday, the day before the auction. His defense lied about him even going there that Monday. I remember the day it happened. February 16th of last year was Presidents day. ADESA is closed on holidays. Why would he be going to a closed auction property to do non-existant car deals? The jury did the right thing. A man who blames his son for murder and then blatantly smuggles contraband into the jail system directly after his verdict deserves to be separated from mainstream society.. Thank you Lawrence Friedman.
Cops do lie, how on earth
Cops do lie, how on earth would they ever get confessions from suspects. When under oath, I certainly hope they don't lie. In the Doll case, I really don't believe the police needed to lie, or be dishonest, the facts of the case spoke for themselves.
Wow Tony. from reading your
Wow Tony. from reading your comment, how did you make it out of grade school? let alone as a corrections officer. It was a good thing that Scott was found guilty. Murderers shouldn't be walking free..
Aric, I am very sorry you,
Aric, I am very sorry you, your family and friends have gone though this.
I agree with Frank...ok, maybe police aren't trained to "lie" they definitely are trained to manipulate situations. I find it particularly disgusting when they clearly know they are dealing with someone who is mentally disturbed. Look @ the case of the bike path rapist and that poor man who was imprisoned for all those years. And not too long ago a man in rochester was freed from prison because he was convinced to say he commited a crime that he hadn't. Guess who did the convincing....
Lorie, Are you saying Doll is
Lorie,
Are you saying Doll is mentally disturbed? His lawyer didn't claim that.
No, John. I know nothing
No, John. I know nothing about Scott Doll or this case other than what I have read here. My comments are directed at Tony's odd ranting that I still cannot figure out...
AND, if people think that innocent people do not get convicted or rail roaded by law enforcement, you are living in a dreamland.
My comments are based on the
My comments are based on the bike path rapist and Anthony Cappozi. Anyone with a working brain cell would look at this guy and know he is mentally disturbed. AND, I could never see him doing the crimes he was accused of (and no, I do not know him personally). I just wonder how in the world he was ever convicted.
