I love Dave McKinley of WGRZ Channel 2! I met him when I did an interview with him during a bad snow storm, when they were at the Flying J. He is so funny and down-to-earth... he is just fantastic!
what is the property owner supposed to do to eradicate the gulls? What would the city do if the gulls were on the mall? Just luck of the draw that they picked Latina's.
Dennis,
the gulls were on the roof not to long ago, what is usually done is that you go in and remove the eggs, and the gulls will leave because they think predators have stolen their eggs, the mall also has fake owls that seem to keep the birds away. The problem here is that you can't just go onto somebody else s property so you have to order the property owner to do something, the solution isn't difficult, but the owner is refusing to co-operate.
I wonder if the Credit Union will be taking any preventative measures soon. The gulls seem to enjoy that rooftop as well. At least they do on any of the Sundays I've been at Tim Horton's.
Ken is so correct when he talked about the smell. My sons and I had to walk Monday from Alberty's across the parking lot to Ellicot Street and the smell was so foul my son put his new bookbag over his nose and I walked holding my breath and taking small breaths through my mouth, that even disgusted me. Something really needs to be done about this problem. I live many blocks from Latina's and you can still smell the smell.
