Don't you love it when
Don't you love it when someone hits an animal and has the nerve to keep driving? It's very thoughtful of them...

Very sorry you lost your cat
Very sorry you lost your cat Joe.
I have had to stop and ring some door bells before. Its not the most easy thing to do. Knowing most people think of there pets as family members. I have been kind of lucky in a way I felt worse about it than they did. Both times it was a barn cat. In the city it's kind of a different story if the pet doesn't have any tags who knows how far away from home it is. You never know what your going to get your self into banging on a strangers door pet owner or not. I would stop and look for tags and at least call the police. I am fairly sure there not going to spend much time looking for the owner if there were no tags to go on.
