A light pole is reportedly down at Ellicott and Court streets, Downtown Batavia.
UPDATE 3:27 p.m.: It looks like age and wind did this pole in. City crews are on scene getting it removed.

I would definately say age
I would definately say age and wind brought it down. Are they going to replace the light? Luckily it didn't fall on to a vehicle or someone walking by.

After driving by that area
After driving by that area today I noticed most of the lightpoles look just like this one did. Hopefully the city does something about them before this happens again and someone gets hurt.

Suddenly, everyone's a pole expert. Let one light pole fall and all the rest are suspect. This is light pole racism at its finest. :-p
This pole doesn't matter
This pole doesn't matter because its not one of the nice ones on Main Street that needed to be sanded and painted. This one's light actually illuminates the road and not the buildings around it so it's maintenance can be ignored.
