It's a lot easier to warm up than it is to cool off. I can't take the heat of summer and it generally sends me right into hibernation. In the winter I can do whatever I want to outside and I don't have to sweat to death doing it. GIVE ME SNOW AND COLD!
I'll take the heat anytime. I loathe winter here. Besides I can cool down in the matter of a moment by jumping into a pool, lake, pond, garden house, etc.
Like I said earlier...when I leave to go to my other office, if this was winter I would have to warm up my car, scrape it off, shovel, etc. It would probably take me fifteen minutes to leave. Now, I literally walk out to my car, roll down the windows and go. Awesome.
I like the winters here. More, I like the four seasons. The heat sucks, but I know it won't last. And I wouldn't want it to be cold all the time, either.
If I wanted high humidity and broiling heat I'd move to Florida. The snow isn't that bad, besides it's only here for what 10-12 weeks on average the rest of the year here in this part of the country is always changing something new every couple of days or weeks at the most.
At Hippie Hollow you can take it all off, thanks to the wisdom of the forefathers in Austin, Texas. Topless at Barton Springs is still cool too and the pervs make their daily rounds. Don't ask me how I know.
I voted cold. Actually, Fall is my favorite time of year. Blustery, a little nip in the air. But yes, it's easier to warm yourself up than it is to cool off. IMO.
(And I don't think I'll be trying George's thong theory anytime soon... ha ha!) Although I do like "Chrithmass" songs.
so when winter comes those who voted for the snow option are NOT allowed to make a single peep about how they don't like the weather and want it to be summer
Cold!!!! I love the cold!!! In my house it is cold!!! You don't really have to shovel, but I'll take shoveling snow over mowing any time!
Four seasons are nice, though, except during weeks like this.
So, for those of you who are happy, enjoy it while it's here because I'll be doing my first snow of the year happy dance for real, instead of in my head, very soon.
Me too, Jennifer.
I am not a hot weather person. I love the fall, but my allergies act up big time. The first killing frost is my time to shine. The allergies go away, and when it gets below freezing, I can even eat ice cream - which I can't do in the summer.
Sadly, like someone else said, winter only lasts a short ten weeks or so, then the spring allegies start up.
Take heart, my Alaska son reported that the geese are already flying 'south'; that he can smell pine trees; and some weed is rearing it's ugly head that seems to be a harbinger of an early winter for them.
Without the snow i would have
Without the snow i would have chosen 10, but I hate driving in snow storm's.
Don't you feel sorry for God
Don't you feel sorry for God sometimes ? No matter what He (or She) does, somebody's BOUND to complain.
Who could complain about 90
Who could complain about 90 degrees and high humidity? We live for Spring and Fall in Texas. It's the ten months of Summer that suck.
