Box of nails reportedly spilled on West Main near River
By Howard B. Owens
A tractor-trailer has reportedly lost a box of nails on West Main Street near River Street, Batavia, and the contents are "spread out over quite a distance."
I went out there and saw nothing. As I drove west, two city trucks were driving east very slowly. I didn't see them stop. When I came back east, I didn't see anything, nor did I get a flat.
Howard - just because you didn't get a flat - - - yet - - - doesn't mean you didn't pick up a nail in your tire. Sometimes they have to work their way in - if you DO get a flat in the next month or two, you'll know where the nail came from.
Did the tractor trailer have
Did the tractor trailer have names like "Michelin," "Goodyear," "Goodrich," "General," "Firestone," or "McCreary" embossed on it?

C.M. - I wonder how many
C.M. - I wonder how many people actually recognize the name McCreary when it comes to tires , not a name you hear too often anymore
