Didn't catch the address, but somewhere on Jackson Street in the city there's a poor pooch shivering on a porch. And that's been the case for many hours, according to a caller to the Emergency Dispatch Center.
The caller alerted authorities about the dog some time this morning and then about a half hour ago called again to say nothing had changed. Efforts to contact the owner, who lives "in the right side apartment," to tell her to take care of the animal, have so far been unsuccessful.
It's been about 35 degrees today and could get down to 22 degrees tonight, according to the National Weather Service, plus there's an 80-percent chance of more snow.
Please ... someone take care
Please ... someone take care of the animal. Take it to the pound for the over night. An animal should not be out in cold like this for hours .. let alone all day ... and maybe all night.
Anyone, please go and get
Anyone, please go and get this poor dog and take it to the pound, it is way too cold for an animal to be left outside in this weather, especially all day. What is the dogs owner thinking!?
Somebody who identified
Somebody who identified herself as a neighbor left a comment on Facebook saying the dog is no longer on the porch. There were fresh tire tracks in the driveway.
Hopefully adopted by a good
Hopefully adopted by a good samaritan who saw this story and decided to do something. I hope it pissed the abusive owners off. Thanks to the concerned neighbors
And the dog would have
And the dog would have forgiven his/her horrible owners too.....Dogs are so much better than people!
