Phil Ricci, upper right, leads a discussion at Coffee Culture among the more than 20 people who showed up to help form the Libertarian Party in Genesee County.
I was only there for a few minutes to get a picture. I'll let Phil, in comments, if he wishes, discuss what went on tonight and what progress was made.

Thanks so much Howard!
It was a great night! Community members of all ages and experiences came out tonight to hear our message of liberty, and to begin the process of establishing the first ever, Genesee County Libertarian Party!
Tonight, the Forming Committee was officially created and officers were elected. They are:
Chair, Phil Ricci
Vice Chair, David Olsen
Secretary, Jim Rosenbeck
Treasurer, Chelsea O'Brien
The committee, once established, voted to begin the process to secede from the Greater Rochester Libertarian Party and become it's own chapter.
Secondary committees were formed to help begin the hard work to share our vision and message of non intrusive and fiscally responsible government with all who may be interested, set up our first convention and find liberty minded candidates who are interested in running for local offices.
Overall, it was just a fantastic experience to share some time with caring and engaging community members.
If you would like to hear more, come to our next meeting, or would like to get involved, join our Facebook group @ http://www.facebook.com/GeneseeCountyLP
Cheers!

Bob,
Thanks for the link! We will be adding many more avenues to include a website as we go forward! Facebook has been the easiest and fastest way to get people together, and gain initial interest.
As we add additional resources we will share them through press releases! Hope to see you at our next meeting!
