Wow!
If you would have said Terrell Owens would be a member of the Buffalo Bills even a week ago, I might have told you that you were nuts.
But after the controversial star was released by the Dallas Cowboys, the Bills have signed him to a one year deal.
He's thought of as a cancer and the biggest pain in the butt in the NFL, but he is now a Bill. This is amazing and will put our local NFL team on the map.
We are in for a fun season,
Drama..that all it will
Drama..that all it will create....
Edwards to Owens. Edwards to
Edwards to Owens. Edwards to Evans.
Next season here we come!
For better or worse the Bills
For better or worse the Bills will be in the national spot light because of the NFL,s #1 drama queen
they just did it for the
they just did it for the media attention...
they still wont make the playoffs..
The whole key is how they
The whole key is how they will use T.O. There is no doubt of his talent as wide receiver. He requires double coverage and is a major deep ball threat. This will free up other receivers to actually get open. I think his presence is more a threat than what he will actually be producing. It also brings up the idea of giving losman another chance since he is truely the better QB when it comes to the long ball. I just hope they keep him away from lynch !
I have to disagree with you
I have to disagree with you on this one Gabor. I think Owens was a nice deep threat in his younger days, but has become a possession receiver in recent years.
The way to use Owens is to let Lee go deep, which he does as well as anybody in the game, and use Owens like Indy used Marvin Harrison. Owens needs to be the No. 2 receiver and be the short threat.
And Losman sucks. He's a nice guy and I hope he can get a chance somewhere else, but he has no idea what he is doing in the pocket. Rob Johnson was a better quarterback that Losman at this point in his career (okay, maybe not).
Buffalo will be drafting a tight end in the first round and I think Brandon Pettigrew from Oklahoma State will be the pick at No. 11. Jared Cook from South Carolina really impressed me at the combine though. Yes, I did watch hours and hours of players I don't know running the 40 and participating in drills.
Getting Pettigrew or Cook will without a doubt add to Buffalo's ability to put up crazy passing numbers. We could see Trent put up Marino-type numbers if he has a good offseason and comes in looking to work with this group.
And BTW, I'll be doing a full
And BTW, I'll be doing a full draft preview and live blogging on draft weekend. I watch every pick.
I think we both agree that he
I think we both agree that he (T.O) is not going to get the ball much but if ur saying his R.A.C is a threat then ur contradicting urself. He only blocks when he wants to and thats not a team player so they will have to toss him some balls each game. Buffalo has the short game with edwards but sorry, long ball goes to loserman. I hope that TO gets single coverage on long routes. Watch how well the washed up load mouth old fart scores !
He's going to get the ball,
He's going to get the ball, but he's not going to be the deep guy. Lee is one of the best in the NFL at doing that and Josh Reed is a nice receiver, but not a top option in the short game. That is where Owens is going to come in.
And did you mean to type Loserman instead of Losman or was that an accident? Losman will never be a starting quarterback in Buffalo again, if he is even on the roster come opening day.
I called him loserman. About
I called him loserman. About half way thru his first season. Its very fitting but who would take him for trade ? He is like a randall cunningham with out the talent.
He's just going to get cut
He's just going to get cut and Buffalo is going to go out and get an older quarterback to back up Trent. There is no need to have two quarterbacks that are about the same age, with one of them that has already proven he can't play and the other still trying to prove himself.
If you want the big cannon, Buffalo should sign 400 year old Jeff George. He still wants to play and has one of the best arms I've ever seen.
Hey trent how many fingers u
Hey trent how many fingers u see?
Dear Buffalo Bills Quarterback:
If you cant throw the ball to someone open please run like hell.
Jeff george would be good depending on offensive line.
OOOPs I mean someone from
OOOPs I mean someone from your OWN team.
Losman is a free agent this
Losman is a free agent this year, no point in discussing his impact on the Bills.
T.O. should have a huge
T.O. should have a huge impact with the Bills on the fields. I think it's a great pickup for them. It's a 1 year deal, not much risk in that. He opens the field up for the rest of the receivers and for Lynch. He gives them the possession receiver they desperately need. The stadium will be full and merchandising will go up. Ralph Wilson may be old....but he's no dummy and he just proved it.
I agree about Mr. Wilson.
I agree about Mr. Wilson. What sickens me is that he allows the unsucessful schemes of the offenive coordinators and head coach. The bills will always be a budget team where the defense is the priority. The most successful offense these days would be run or gun and shot gun snaps. Hurry up offense. Hmmm. when did the bills have success with that set ?
Terrell sure did look happy wit dat red bills hat on didnt he ? He did look good.
Trent in the shotgun chucking
Trent in the shotgun chucking balls to TO and Lee. I'd watch that.
