I like Boardwalk Empire a lot, but also Breaking Bad followed by Downton Abbey. A prefer mini-series without commercials. I was really disappointed when Michael Pitt's character got killed off at the end of the first Empire Boardwalk season. The period pieces also have wonderful costumes, sets and authentic details that add to their entertainment value.
