Today's Poll: Who will you vote for in the next gubernatorial election?

By Howard B. Owens
Jeff Allen

Easy choice for Cuomo if you 1.) like the current system of legislation by force (3 men in a room and ramming laws through in the dead of night, constituents be damned) and 2.) believe the 2nd Ammendment is antiquated.

Mario's son impresses me with his abilities to settle long standing disputes and his deal making abilities. Case in point; this Summer's agreement with the Seneca Indians over the casino dispute. He came away from the table with 500 of the 800 million dollars that they owe the State. Hey, half a loaf is better than no loaf! This is something that the last 3 Governors could not accomplish. He is also pushed the amendment to the State Constitution to allow NYS to site new casinos ( real casinos ) in the Catskills to try to revitalize the region.

I will not vote for anyone who supports Assault Weapon Scams. It is the easiest way to quickly determine that a politician is either a liar or too ignorant of the world to be trusted with any power whatsoever.

Besides, he reminds me of a strident Elmer Fudd every time he speaks.

Kyle: I find it deplorable that you could compare, in any way, the beloved Mr. Fudd with the Dork of Albany. And, I'm betting that Elmer really WAS a hunter of game, and not just for a photo-op.

LMAO, he does now that you mention it Kyle. I like that, "Assault Weapon Scams." Never seen assault weapon written on my M-4 have you? Sort like when someone shots at another person it is an active shooter.

Tom, he forced the Indians to put sales tax on their cigarettes and when they refused, forced tobacco distributors to not deliver. He forced his gun control laws down our throats much like Obama did with Obamacare. Really, Casinos? That is the answer for the State of New York to get out of debt? More like lining Cuomo's pocketbook. Yeah it will create more jobs but, they will be temporary for some (Contractors) and low wage (casino employees). Not to mention cost more for the taxpayers. Lower property values, increase crime, etc.... Cuomo's is only interested in getting himself a bigger portion of the pie. He has taken away one Constitutional Right what is next?

I am concerned that over 400 folks said they would vote for a GOP candidate who doesn't even exist yet. This only further entrenches the 2 party stranglehold that leads to much of the mess we are in. I would hope if a viable third party candidate were to run that some or most of these people would take a legitimate look at them.

You got that right, Jeff. This is what Paladino has been cawing about lately. He's right. The establishment Republicans are quite upset with his bumping off their chosen boy in 2010, who BTW never had a prayer against Andy. They will just come up with another big government tax sucker. I keep wondering, when do New Yorkers say enough is enough?

The answer is to divorce downstate.

We, the people who can pronounce "r" need a divorce from those who cannot. The grounds are irreconcilable differences.

FREE NY!!!

What would you call the separated state of New York?

Northern NY, just doesn't have the ring. Maybe keep us NY and call the burrows, the District of New York. DNY, I think it works!?!?!?!?

So So So tired of paying for New York City. Both in money and legislation.

Hey, Kyle. I had no idea what the word "mierde" meant.
So I went to Google translator to find out.
According to the translator, mierde means mierde.
Do you have a different translation for it?

Kyle & Mark: Though it's unrelated to the article, if you wanna good laugh at 'language', watch Lucille Ball, starting at 2-minutes into the "What's My Line" video at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FiUPVQAmWLI

Hilarious!!
