I don't know, I find it kind of funny that one of the biggest opponents of paper money and central banking has his face on one of the most commonly used forms of paper currency.
Our entire currency needs an overhaul. We need to get "In God We Trust" of since we might offend Atheists and other non Christians. We need to remove all that Latin crap since this is 'Murica and we speak 'Murican. We need to remove that pyramid, there ain't no pyramids in 'Murica(except the Luxor in Vegas and that represents excess). We need to remove images of Jefferson, Washington, and Jefferson's home of Monticello since they owned slaves and they are symbols of racism and oppression. Get those known womanizers Ben Franklin and John Kennedy off, 'cause of the War on Women thingy. Get Grant, Lincoln, Wilson, Roosevelt, and Eisenhower the warmongers off so that Code Pink, Michael Moore, Hollywood elites, and MoveOn.org are more comfortable handling their millions. McKinley, Cleveland, and Salmon P. Chase? What rocket scientist thought them up?
We put Sacagawea on the Gold Dollar coin, let's call it a wash and stop all this nonsense.
We can do much better than Andy Jackson. Why, we have such worthies as Andrew Johnson and Warren Harding. And don't forget that local boy made good, Millard Fillmore, best remembered for his championing of the Fugitive Slave Act of 1850.
Seriously, my nominee for the new twenty dollar bill would be someone from my neck of the woods -- Harry Truman. Probably one of our least popular presidents when he left office, history has found him out as one of the greats. In terms of character, it's hard to find his equal in modern times.
Terry, do you mean in finishing a global war we didn't start? How many GIs lives were spared by that decisive, if terrible act? If the Commander in Chief has the means to end a conflict victoriously -- conserving the lives of the troops he commands -- and doesn't utilize those means, wouldn't he be worthy of impeachment.?
Andrew Jackson forced 46,000 Native Americans off their land. Estimates are that between 2,000 -6,000 died as a result. It is tragic. Abraham Lincoln presided over a war where 1.5 million Americans were either killed, wounded, or never accounted for. Are we going to erase the image of Lincoln from our currency? Tear down the Lincoln Memorial? Rename all the buildings, schools, organizations, etc. that bear his name? The point is if you are quantifying human sacrifice and suffering as the bar for currency imagery then we have ALOT of reminting to do. You can take every person who graces a US denomination and find a group of people aggrieved by it. It has reached the point of absurdity with this sudden onset of contrived sensitivity in our culture. Everyone is looking for a reason to be offended and a way to get their pound of flesh as a result. There is no end to this pursuit of non-offense and victimization of every Tom, Dick, and Harry. STOP, just STOP. Oh yeah, Andrew Jackson was a Democrat, aren't they supposed to get an automatic pass for their sins?
Why? Are they thinking of
Why? Are they thinking of putting King Obama on it now?

Scott, are you rating
Scott, are you rating presidents by body count of dead innocent humans? If so he's in close competition with the last three presidents.
