The New York TimesOld Tactic Gets New Use: Public Schools Separate Girls and Boys

NOTE: New policy on poll questions: Some mornings it's very hard to come up with a poll question. I can spend an inordinate amount of time trying to find a topic that works for a question. I'm going to stop doing that. If a poll question doesn't suggest itself easily, I'm not going to spend time searching high and low for an idea. That means we will no longer have polls every weekday.

Sure! Why not? And while we're at it when can separate dark hair from light, blue eyes from brown, tall from short, thin from heavy, those with glasses from those without, etc.

Even better, lets just have one teacher and one classroom per student.

The girls’ curriculum features sweater wearing, “soothing music,” and my personal favorite, “acting pretty at all times.” Next class, how to wear white gloves, pearls and pumps while vacuuming. Sounds great.

I guess if we are going to go backwards in time we might as well have classrooms divided up by race too. maybe separate water fountains, separate bathrooms, separate buses. come on, I thought with the politically correct USA we were way past this. Just last week there was all kinds of hupla about a mans wages being superior to a womans and how unfair that is, now they're separating students based by their sex. Hey, how about we separate students based on the religion they practice?
