Press release:
“New York’s taxes and spending have reached monumental proportions. It is a shameful reflection of the policies pushed by New York City elites and state leaders that our families must work over four months a year to pay off their collective tax burden.
We have some of the highest property taxes in the country right here in our state, and it is abundantly clear that many businesses and families would rather uproot and relocate to more tax-friendly states than remain in New York.
We need to cut business and income taxes to incentivize families to remain in our state and reinvest in our citizens rather than spending money on programs for illegal immigrants and Hollywood movie producers.”
Thank You Steve for
Thank You Steve for understanding this issue and for speaking out about it. It is abundantly clear that you are one of a handful of NY politicians that understand this. Even our own State Senator for this area is playing the tax and spend game along with the Democrats & Governor.
I urge you to consider running for that position so that we would be properly represented in our state senate.
Steve Hawley seems to have
Steve Hawley seems to have mastered the Press Release and constantly tells us how bad NY is. The citizens of his District have repeatedly returned him to office to address their concerns. By Hawley's own admission, things are not changing for the better. So, maybe it is time that someone step up to the plate and replace him. Someone that may actually get things done instead of just sitting back and crying about how bad things are.
Scott, since Democrats run
Scott, since Democrats run the Assembly and are the ones who vote to raise the taxes, are you suggesting we elect one of them? What would somebody else who is not a Democrat be able to do different?
Hey John, it really makes no
Hey John, it really makes no difference to me what Politcal Party and potential replacement for Hawley could or should be. But clearly, by his own admission, he is not being effective in Albany. He has been there for quite some time and I only see results in the form of Press Releases telling us how messed up Albany is. Wasn't he sent there to fix the problems he keeps talking about? In my opinion, he needs to become more effective in Governing than issuing the same old recycled press releases which really do little more than let the public know that he is not being effective in doing the job he was sent to do. And to prove to you that my position is non-partisan I say the same thing about Nancy Pelosi. She has presided over the demise of the Democratic Party, yet she still retains a leadership position. This is nuts. She needs to go as well.
