Very sad, he was my mom's surgeon a few times and was always very friendly, and did a great job. I actually credit him as one of the doctors who saved my life years ago. He recognized a rare, dangerous, and time-sensitive condition I had. Without wasting any time, knowing UMMC wasn't equipped to handle the surgery I needed, he had me rushed to Strong.
Thank you Dr. Desa, you were a great doctor, and a kind man!
Victor Desa was a very dear
Victor Desa was a very dear friend to many in the Indian communities of Rochester and the surroundings. He was a very gentle person who was dedicated to his patients and to the practice of medicine. In the 30 years of our friendship with Victor and his family, we had never known him to say an unkind word about anyone.
Victor was also a very accomplished guitarist, and his music entertained us over the years at innumerable parties and functions.
We will all miss Victor greatly. We offer our heartfelt condolences to his wife Carmen, and to their children and grandchildren.
