An accident is reported in Oakfield. A car struck the Wilson Farms Market building. There are believed to be no injuries. The store is located at 25 S. Main St. Sheriff's deputies are on location.

Two people were injured in a crash on Lockport Road at Route 98, Elba, at 5:47 p.m. Wednesday, after one of the drivers allegedly failed to stop for a stop sign.

Transported to UMMC with non-life-threatening injuries by Mercy EMS were Kevin A. Dutton, 35, of Garden Park Apartments, Albion, and Dylan D. Dutton, 13.

Cited for allegedly failing to stop was Charles L. Hudson, 39, of Cottage Court, Warsaw.

Hudson was reportedly westbound on Lockport Road and Dutton was traveling southbound.

Neither Dutton nor his two passengers were injured.

A third person in Hudson's car was also not injured.

The accident was investigated by Sgt. Greg Walker.

A three-car accident with unknown injuries is reported at Route 98 and Lockport Road in Elba. Elba Fire Department and Mercy EMS are responding.

UPDATE 6:35 p.m.: One person is being transported to UMMC with complaints of abdominal pain.

UPDATE 6:45 p.m.: There were three two injuries reported. One person is being taken to a hospital via Mercy Flight. The third second victim either declined or did not require transport. Traffic is heavily backed up. Route 98 remains closed until the tow trucks clear the scene.

UPDATE 6:51 p.m.: The roadway is being reopened.

A one-car accident is reported at 2616 Walker Road in Alexander. There is a "very minor injury" but extrication is needed. The car is off the roadway. Alexander fire and ambulance are responding.

A driver who reportedly fled the scene of a minor-injury accident on Route 98 at West Saile Drive at 4:15 p.m., Monday, was later located and charged with DWI.

The driver, Leann F. Bach, 57, of West Bergen Road, Bergen, was also cited for allegedly running a red light and failure to yield right of way.

Suffering a minor injury in the accident was Verna M. Oehler, 63.

Bach was reportedly driving westbound on West Saile Drive in a 2003 Chevy SUV when she allegedly failed to stop for the red light at Route 98.

Northbound on Route 98 was John E. Oehler, 62, of Oak Orchard Road, Batavia, with Verna as a passenger, in a 2003 Chevy pickup. 

Fabian S. Hernandez, 48, of Columbia Avenue, Batavia, was also on Route 98 in a 2005 Ford SUV.

Bach reportedly attempted to make a left turn onto Route 98 and struck Oehler's vehicle, pushing it into the SUV driven by Hernandez.

Hernandez had 10 passengers in his vehicle, but none of them were injured.

Bach then reportedly continued south on Route 98 and was located some time later.

No other citations or criminal charges were listed in the accident report.

The accident was investigated by Sgt. Greg Walker.

A one-car accident with an injury has been reported on Starr Road at Hudson Road, Pavilion.

The victim is inside a residence at that location.

Pavilion fire and Mercy EMS dispatched.

One person is reporting head and neck pain following a motor vehicle accident on West Main Street Road, Batavia.

The cars are reportedly in the parking lot of That Taco Place.

Town of Batavia Fire and Mercy EMS dispatched.

A person suffered an apparent arm injury early Saturday morning after being struck by a CSX train near the Wortendyke Road crossing.

RIchard J. Kubus, 31, no permanent address, was reportedly walking on railroad ties outside the tracks when he was struck by the train's snowplow.

The train stopped and a conductor called 9-1-1 at 3:49 a.m.

When deputies responded they found Kubus walking along the tracks.

Kubus was transported to ECMC for evaluation. His injury is not believed to be life threatening.

Assisting at the scene were Mercy EMS and the East Pembroke Fire Department.

The investigation is being conducted by Deputy Jason Saile, Deputy Eric K. Seppala and Sgt. Thomas Sanfratello, along with CSX security.

A motor-vehicle accident with injuries has been reported in front of Tops Market, 390 W. Main St., Batavia.

City fire and Mercy EMS responding.

A person on Upton Road near the CSX crossing may have been struck by a train.

The initial call was the person was conscious and alert, but a first responder has asked for the ambulance to "step it up" because the patient is in and out of consciousness.

East Pembroke Fire and Mercy EMS dispatched.

The train has stopped.

UPDATE 4:21 a.m.: A CSX investigator is in route, one hour ETA.  A deputy responds that the patient will be transported to the hospital, "at a minimum for a mental health evaluation." CSX asks through dispatch if the person was actually struck. The deputy states, "The conductor says yes, but the physical evidence suggests otherwise."  Later, the deputy reports, "Disregard what I previously said. There is an arm injury."

UPDATE 4:32 a.m.: CSX asks through dispatch if trains can pass at a reduced speed on the other track. A deputy responds, "We're going to be all set here. The can proceed as soon as the train is ready to go."

A car accident with injuries is reported at Route 19 and North Road in Le Roy. There are three patients. Traffic police are called to shut down traffic on Route 19 at Parmalee and Route 19 and North Road.

Le Roy Fire and Ambulance Service is responding along with mutual aid from Mercy EMS.

UPDATE 6:01 p.m.: A third ambulance is requested as mutual aid from Caledonia.

UPDATE 6:02 p.m.: Caledonia's response has been cancelled.

UPDATE 6:28 p.m.: Two patients are being transported to United Memorial Medical Center.

UPDATE 6:33 p.m.: Tow trucks are on location. Two more patients are being taken to the hospital. Mercy EMS is taking one of them to Strong Memorial Hospital.

A motor-vehicle accident with injury is reported at 7381 Fisher Road in Oakfield. One person is complaining of a shoulder injury.

The location is "just before the curve" between Lewiston Road and Drake Street.

Oakfield Fire Department and Mercy medics are responding.

Update 6:09 p.m.: An official on scene says responders can come to the scene in non-emergency mode.

UPDATE 6:21 p.m.: This must be a pile-up since a Sheriff's Deputy is reporting to dispatch that there are six vehicles involved, but not all of them are damaged.

UPDATE 6:36 p.m.: Oakfield fire is back in service.

A one-car rollover accident is reported at 9552 Warsaw Road in the area of Cole Road. There is one patient, who is conscious and alert and bleeding from the head.

Le Roy Fire Department and Le Roy medics are responding. Traffic control is warranted.

UPDATE 4:24 p.m.: Le Roy medics are transporting the patient to the hospital in Warsaw. Le Roy fire back in service.

A motor-vehicle accident with injuries has been reported at Judge Road and Route 77, Alabama.

Two ambulances, one from Mercy EMS and one from Oakfield, are requested to the scene.

Alabama Fire Department on scene.

No serious injuries reported so far.

UPDATE 3:22 p.m.: Alabama fire back in service. Both patients transported to UMMC.

UPDATE 5:56 p.m.: According to a Sheriff's Office report, a 2003 Ford sedan driven by Joelle J. Reiner, 19, of Tooley Road, Cowlesville, was westbound on Judge Road. Reiner reportedly initiated a left turn onto Route 77. A 2010 Nissan SUV driven by Frederick C. Hart, 71, of Kennedy Circle, Medina, stuck Reiner's car.  Reiner was cited allegedly failing to yield right-of-way. Reiner was transported to UMMC with minor injuries. E.J. Hart, 74, a passenger in Frederick Hart's car, was transported to Medina Memorial Hospital. The accident was investigated by Deputy Chris Parker.

A deputy dispatched at 1:43 p.m., Thursday, to a report of an erratic driver on Route 33 saw the driver slumped over the steering wheel just before his large SUV veered left and struck another car head on.

The driver of the car, Gladys E. Worthington, 79, of Woodside Drive, Bergen, was transported to Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester by ground ambulance.

Worthington reportedly pulled to the side of the road when she saw the deputy's patrol vehicle heading her way with emergency lights flashing. 

Deputy Nate Balduf was attempting to stop a Chevy Suburban driven by Raymond T. Buckner, 67, of Maplewood Avenue, Spencerport.

Buckner's SUV, headed westbound on Route 33 near Caswell Road, swerved across the eastbound lane and struck Worthington's stopped car head on.

Worthington's car flew back eastbound and came to rest about 120 yards from the point of impact.

A witness, a truck driver from Akron (who probably didn't give us his real name), described the collision as looking like "two dragons colliding in midair."

Worthington was conscious and alert following the accident and as she was transported to Strong. Her injuries are not believed to be serious.

Buckner was also transported to strong and did not sustain any life threatening injuries.

No information was released on what Buckner's medical condition might have been prior to the accident.

No citations were issued.

The accident investigation was completed by Balduf.

Two men suspected of being in the country illegally were arrested Monday afternoon following an accident at Route 98 and West Saile Drive.

Taken into custody were Juan H. Gomez, 25, a resident of Hamlin, and Humberto O. Escalante, 24, a resident of Elba.

Both men were charged with illegal entry and turned over to the U.S. Border Patrol.

Gomez was the driver. Gomez allegedly made a left-hand turn from Route 98 onto West Saile Drive and failed to yield the right of way to oncoming traffic.

Injured in the crash at 5:18 p.m. were the driver and passenger of the other vehicle, Judith M. Drews, 65, of Byron, and Judith M. Drews, 90. Both women were transported to UMMC by Mercy EMS with minor injuries.

The accident was investigated by Deputy Joseph Graff.

A two-car accident with injuries and blocking traffic is reported at Oak Orchard Road and West Saille Drive in the Town of Batavia.

Town of Batavia Fire Department and Mercy medics are responding.

UPDATE 5:25 p.m.: One person has chest pain. A basic life ambulance is also requested.

UPDATE 5:28 p.m.: Traffic is getting very backed up. A State Trooper is rerouting traffic on West Saille. A fire unit is going to head to the Thruway for further traffic control.

UPDATE 5:38 p.m.: A third ambulance is requested.

UPDATE 5:49 p.m.: So far, one patient is being taken to UMMC.

UPDATE 5:54 p.m.: A second patient is being transported to UMMC.

An accident with injuries has been reported on the 490 near the Bergen exit.

Bergen and Le Roy fire departments along with Le Roy's ambulance dispatched. A Mercy EMS ambulance was in the area and has also been dispatched.

UPDATE 12:27 p.m.: This turns out to be the Churchville district. Genesee County units back in service.

A law enforcement officer just witnessed a two-car accident with injuries at the junction of Judge and Allegany roads in Alabama. Their are two people injured, one is a pregnant woman nine months along.

Alabama Fire Department and Mercy medics are responding.

UPDATE 4:50 p.m.: A second ambulance is requested. Two occupants in each vehicle are not injured and will be "sign-offs."

UPDATE 4:53 p.m.: Traffic is getting tied up because of the accident. Two flatbed tow trucks are called to the scene.

UPDATE: One patient was transferred to the hospital in Medina, the pregnant woman to Women's and Children's Hospital in Buffalo.

A 24-year-old Batavia resident told a deputy he was returning a text message just prior to hitting a car that had stopped in front of him on Route 20 in Darien at 12:50 p.m., Saturday.

The 2003 Dodge pickup driven by Corey Lee Richenberg, of Galloway Road, struck one car in the rear and a second car spun into the oncoming traffic lane where it was struck by 2005 Ford pickup.

The Ford then continued off the road and overturned.

Neither the three drivers nor their passengers were seriously injured.

Richenberg, who was transported by Mercy EMS to UMMC with a general complaint of pain, was cited for allegedly following too closely and failure to maintain lane improper use of a mobile phone.

The driver of the car hit from behind was Christine R. Powell, 61, of Broadway Road, Darien Center. Powell was transported to UMMC by Mercy EMS.

The driver of the Ford that overturned was Gregory E. Fish, 45, of Parkview Drive, Akron. Fish was taken by private vehicle to Millard Fillmore Medical Center  the VA medical center.

The accident was investigated by Deputy Chris Parker.
