A vehicle has flipped over a guardrail and into the water at 852 Bloomingdale Road, Basom.

Both occupants are out of the vehicle and have only minor injuries.

Alabama fire and Mercy EMS dispatched.

UPDATE 4:54 p.m.: Reader submitted photo. According to a source at the scene, the location was at Judge Road and Feeder Road. The occupants self-extricated and obtained a ride to Two Eagles Smoke Shop where they were able to call 9-1-1 because of poor mobile reception at the location of the accident. Both patients signed off with minor injuries.

A car vs. pedestrian accident is reported at East Main Street and Harvester Avenue. City fire and Mercy medics are responding.

A 29-year-old driver from Batavia is accused of failing to stop for a stop sign on Galloway Road leading to a two-car accident that sent two people, including a child, to the hospital at 12:31 p.m., Sunday.

Valerie Covill, of West Main Street Road, was cited by Deputy Kevin McCarthy, who investigated the accident. 

Covill was reportedly westbound on Galloway Road in a 2016 Hyundai sedan when she allegedly failed to stop for a stop sign at Slusser Road.

The Hyundai struck at 2015 Toyota sedan driven by Kyle A. Olmstead, 32, of Byron Holly Road, Byron.

Olmstead wasn't injured but his passenger, 41-year-old Jessica Alexyn, was transported to UMMC by ambulance for a complaint of stomach pain.

One of Covill's passengers, Brenden Delmastro, age 2, was also taken to UMMC for evaluation. 

Another passenger in Covill's car, 5-year-old Caleb Delmastro, was not injured.

A vehicle has reportedly run under the back of a semi-truck on the Thruway in the westbound lane at about mile marker 388.4 and a female is reportedly trapped in the vehicle that is under the semi.

Extrication will reportedly be required.

Town of Batavia fire and Mercy EMS dispatched. 

UPDATE 10 p.m.: The victim has self-extricated with minor injuries.

UPDATE 10:01 p.m.: Mercy Flight cancelled. Fire crews needed for fluid spills.

A head-on collision between a pickup truck and car is reported at 2447 W. Main Street Road, East Pembroke. East Pembroke Fire Department and Mercy medics are responding.

UPDATE 12:40 p.m.: Mercy Flight is called to the scene. The location is near Ron and Newt's auto repair business.

UPDATE 12:50 p.m.: One person was transported by Mercy Flight to ECMC; the patient was conscious and alert.

UPDATE 1:13 p.m.: A white sedan was eastbound on West Main Street Road when the driver crossed the center line of the roadway and struck a westbound work truck head on. The driver of the sedan was airlifted to ECMC; the driver of the work truck was taken by ground ambulance to UMMC.

A motorcyclist reportedly hit debris in the roadway on Randall Road, Stafford.

The driver is reportedly down but alert. 

Stafford Fire and Mercy EMS dispatched.

A one-vehicile accident with minor injuries is reported at Route 63 and Batavia Stafford Townloine Road. Town of Batavia Fire Department and Mercy medics are responding.

UPDATE 2 p.m.: A second ambulance is called to the scene and a first responder reports there are three patients.

UPDATE 2:06 p.m.: The second ambulance is cancelled; two patients are sign-offs.

UPDATE 2:21 p.m.: One person was transported to UMMC.

A dump truck is reportedly on its side in the area of 13465 Skye Road, Basom, with minor injuries reported.

The driver is said to be out of the vehicle.

UPDATE 9:31 a.m.: There doesn't appear to be anything leaking, a chief on scene reports. The truck was apparently hauling material from a house demolition and those contents have spilled out.

A woman has reportedly died following a head-on collision on Route 19 at North Street Road, Le Roy.

According to Chief Deputy Brian Frieday, a vehicle was southbound on Route 19 when it slowed to make a left turn on North Street Road. Another vehicle behind that car tried to pass on the west shoulder and that driver apparently lost control of her car causing it to cross back across the southbound lane and into the northbound lane where it struck a northbound SUV.

The driver of the car that was attempting the southbound pass was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the SUV was transported to Strong with non-life-threatening injuries.

The name of the victim has not been released pending family notifications.

The accident is still under investigation.

Le Roy fire and Le Roy ambulance responded to the scene and Route 19 was closed between Seldon Road and West Bergen Road. (At the intersection of the fatality, Randall Road is west of Route 19; and across Route 19 to the east, the same roadway becomes North Street Road.)

UPDATE: The Sheriff's Office reports that Bonnie B. Dean, 77, of Churchville, died as a result of the crash. The other driver was identified as Penne M. Vincent, 56, of Fairport. Vincent was transported to Strong Memorial Hospital for treatment of her injuries. Dean was driving a 2008 Chevy Cobalt. Vincent was driving a 2013 GMC Terrain. According to the press release, Dean attempted to pass an uninvolved vehicle on the right, on the west shoulder and was unable to maintain control of the vehicle, causing it to cross into the northbound lane. The cause of the crash is under investigation by Chief Deputy Brian Frieday, Sgt. Andrew Hale, Sgt. James Deihl, Sgt. Jason Saile, Deputy Richard Schildwaster, Deputy Mat Clor, and Deputy Travis Demuth. Assisting at the scene were Le Roy Detective John Condidorio, and officers Gregory Kellogg and Stephen Cappotelli as well as Le Roy fire, Le Roy ambulance, and Mercy EMS.

A driver told Deputy Kevin Forsyth yesterday that the sudden appearance of a spider on his leg startled him and while trying to brush the spider away he lost control off his car, causing a rollover accident on Route 98 near Rose Road at 1:30 p.m.

The driver, Richard J. Amico Jr., 21, was uninjured in the accident.

He was driving a 1998 Buick sedan, which left the east shoulder of Alexander Road and struck an embankment causing it to become airborne. It rolled end-over-end and came to rest on its roof on the north side of the driveway at 9071 Alexander Road.

Amico was cited for an alleged unsafe lane change.

Town of Batavia fire responded to the accident.

A car has reportedly struck the building at Burger King in Le Roy.

Le Roy fire, Le Roy ambulance and Le Roy PD responding.

No word yet on injuries.

UPDATE 3:20 p.m.: A medic on scene reports the driver is out of the vehicle and minor damage to the building.

UPDATE 3:22 p.m.: The fire chief orders Le Roy's equipment held in quarters and requests code enforcement to the scene.

A one-vehicle rollover accident, unknown injuries, is reported in the area of 5563 Broadway Road, Bethany.

Bethany fire and Mercy EMS dispatched.

UPDATE 2:28 p.m.: There is a single occupant. He has blood on his face but is out of the vehicle.

UPDATE (By Billie) 3:07 p.m.: Mercy medics are transporting a 34-year-old male to UMMC. He is complaining of "chronic exacerbated lower back pain"; has a laceration over his right eye and on the bridge of his nose. He is alert, oriented and stable and had no loss of consciousness.

Traffic is blocked.

UPDATE 11:41 a.m.: A first-responder on scene reports no injuries but vehicles are blocking.

A one-vehicle accident with injuries and entrapment is reported in Bergen on West Sweden Road at Evans Road. Bergen Fire Department is responding, along with Mercy medics.

UPDATE 3:36 p.m.: The patient was extricated and is being transported to Strong Memorial Hospital.

A pickup truck went off the road in the area of 10092 Francis Road, Bethany, at 7:14 p.m.  The driver declined medical transport. The Sheriff's Office along with Bethany Fire Department responded.

A two-vehicle accident with injuries is reported on Pearl Street Road, near Hartshorn Road, Town of Batavia. East Pembroke Fire Department is responding along with Mercy medics.

UPDATE 3:40 p.m.: A second Mercy rig is called to the scene.

A second ambulance is called to the scene of a car vs. pole accident at 3962 Batavia Elba Townline Road. Unknown injuries. Town of Batavia Fire Department is on scene.

A serious injury accident about an hour ago prompted the closure of Fargo Road between Route 5 and Sweetland Road. The accident address is 9123 Fargo Road. Stafford Fire Department, Stafford Fire Police, Mercy medics and law enforcement are on scene.

UPDATE 8:53 p.m.: This was a fatal accident. More information T/K.

UPDATE 9:08 p.m.: From Alecia Kaus, Video News Service, at the scene:

"According to Genesee County Chief Sheriff's Deputy Brian Frieday, a passerby noticed the vehicle off the road and it is unknown how long it had been there.

"Frieday says the car was headed south on Fargo Road when it left the west shoulder of the road, then corrected, and left the east shoulder of the road and struck a tree on the driver's side and ended up spinning counterclockwise. The car then came to rest on the west shoulder, partially in the ditch.

"The Genesee County Sheriff's Crash Investigation Team was on scene looking into the cause of the accident."

UPDATE: The driver of the vehicle was Arthur D. Mase, 66, of East Bethany. Mase was driving a 2005 Chevrolet Malibu southbound on Fargo Road. According to the Sheriff's Office, it appears that Mase's vehicle crossed over the center line and went off the east shoulder of the road. The vehicle struck a tree on the driver's side before coming to rest in a ditch. Mase was pronounced dead at the scene.

The cause of the accident is still under investigation. The investigation is being conducted by Chief Deputy Brian Frieday, Sgt. Jason Saile, Sgt. Andrew Hale, Sgt. James Diehl, Deputy Kyle Krzemien, and Deputy David Moore. Assisting at the scene were Mercy EMS, Stafford fire, and Stella's Collision.
