A motorcycle vs. woodchuck accident with injuries is reported in the Town of Darien at Colby and Sharrick roads. The bike rider has a leg injury. Corfu Fire Department is responding along with Mercy medics. Law enforcement is on scene.

UPDATE 10:09 a.m.: The motorcyclist, in addition to having upper left leg pain, has an injured right eye and some abrasions on his right side. The woodchuck is reportedly deceased.

UPDATE 10:28 a.m.: There's a tree down, which is causing an unknown-type wire to bow about five feet off the ground. A first responder says it's not in the roadway and there's no footpath, so it's not impeding traffic.

Le Roy's brush truck is called to the scene of Monday's barn fire at 9420 Warsaw Road. They are asked to proceed in nonemergency mode.

UPDATE 2:37 p.m.: The hot spots are out and the crew is picking up and preparing to leave.

A motor-vehicle accident involving two passenger vehicles and a tractor-trailer is reported in front of the Village Park in Elba, 40 S. Main St. Unknown injuries. The location is between West Avenue and Drake Street Road.

A first responder says one of the vehicle ended up at 18 S. Main Street. Elba Fire Department and Mercy medics are responding.

UPDATE 3:27 p.m.: Some Speedy Dry is needed to soak up a spill. One of the vehicles involved is a black SUV.

UPDATE 3:28 p.m.: A first responder says to "back it down" -- only minor injuries. Medics are on scene. A tow company is called.

UPDATE 3:30 p.m.: Command calls for traffic to be shut off at Mechanic Street.

UPDATE 4:08 p.m.: Mechanic Street and South Main are being reopened.

A dog is reportedly locked inside a red F-1 50 pickup truck in the parking lot of BJ's Wholesale Club at 8330 Lewiston Road, Batavia. An officer is responding.

A caller to dispatch who lives on Liberty Street complains that "a drone flew into her yard from the Jackson Street area." City police are responding.

A large bonfire is reported in the city that is close to a house or garage in the area of 14 Raymond Ave. City fire and police are responding.

A large snapping turtle is reported in the roadway at 12 Church St. in Le Roy. Village police are responding.

A dog is reported to be locked in a car outside of Famous Footwear at 4218 Veterans Memorial Drive in Batavia. The dog has been in the vehicle 20 minutes, according to the caller. An officer is responding.

A caller reports a bird wearing several leg bands, "bracelets," is secured at a residence on Liberty Street in the city. It is believed to be someone's pet. An officer is responding to retrieve the bird and take it to the Genesee County Animal Shelter.

No descriptive information was relayed about the feathered friend.

A caller to dispatch reports a 3-year-old is wandering unattended in the Cary Cemetery off Maple Avenue in Oakfield. The tot is wearing just shorts. A Sheriff's deputy is responding.

UPDATE 4:42 p.m.: The caller says the mother has been located asks for the deputy to stand down, but the deputy says he's responding.

A car vs. bicycle accident with unknown injuries is reported in Downtown Batavia on Bank Street near Alva Place. City fire and Mercy medics are responding.

A two-car accident with injuries is reported in Bergen at the intersection of Clinton Street Road and West Bergen Road. One Mercy ambulance is called to the scene in emergency mode; a second ambulance is requested. Bergen Fire Department is responding along with law enforcement.

There are two patients; one is complaining of neck and chest pain and has an eye laceration.

UPDATE 3:25 p.m.: Command reports a property damage accident at the same scene. A tow truck backed into an ambulance. The Bergen assisgnment is back in service. Mercy BLS #5 is transporting one patient to UMMC.

UPDATE 3:40 p.m.: One patient is a female with an injured, bleeding right hand. She also has an injured left ankle. There was air bag deployment and heavy front-end damage to her vehicle.

A one-vehicle rollover is reported at 11181 Chaddock Road in Alexander between Spring Road and the Wyoming County line. The male driver is conscious and alert but pinned in by the steering wheel.

Alexander Fire Department and Mercy medics are responding along with Attica and their extrication equipment. Mercy Flight's availability is checked and it is available.

"We're gonna need help with extrication -- he's pinned in there pretty good," says command at the scene.

UPDATE 12:08 p.m.: Mercy Flight is called to the scene and has a 12-minute ETA. Dan's Towing is en route with a heavy wrecker/"rotater." Milk is spilled in a ditch; the Department of Environmental Conservation is advised. 

UPDATE 12:12 p.m.: "A large amount of milk is down in the soil, uncontrolled at this point," says a first responder. A DEC rep is being requested to the scene. Mercy Flight will land in a cornfield east of the accident site. The driver of the tanker truck has a severe leg injury.

UPDATE 12:54 p.m.: Stafford fire is asked to fill in at Alexander's fire hall.

UPDATE 12:57 p.m.: Attica is being deployed as rehab for the first responders.

UPDATE 1:12 p.m.: Elba's rescue equipment is requested to the scene.

UPDATE 1:41 p.m.: One Alexander fire truck is back in service.

UPDATE 1:42 p.m.: Mercy Flight just lifted off to take the patient to a hospital to return to the Batavia hangar.

UPDATE 2:05 p.m.: Command releases Town of Batavia, Attica and Bethany. Alexander #6 will remain on scene.

UPDATE 2:41 p.m.: Alexander is clearing the scene, which is turned over to law enforcement.

A dog is reportedly hanging half out of a second-story window at 129 Hutchins St. in the city. The caller is concerned the dog will drop onto the roof, and/or slide off of it. City fire is dispatched.

Goats are in the roadway at 7015 Townline Road, Byron, east of Tripp Road.

"The caller's trying to keep them out of the roadway," says the dispatcher.

Genesee County Sheriff's deputies are responding.

Meanwhile in the city, police are asked to respond to Summit Street near North Street for a report of a vehicle parked on the wrong side of the street.

UPDATE 11:09 a.m.: In the city, the responding officer says "All the vehicles are legally parked; I'll be clear."

A 6-year-old child was reportedly run over by a vehicle at 117 Otis St. in the city. City fire and Mercy medics are responding.

UPDATE 3:55 p.m.: Police are on scene.

UPDATE 3:59 p.m.: Command asks that the availability of Mercy Flight be checked.

UPDATE 4:29 p.m.: A 6-year-old girl who lives at the address was transported to Strong Memorial Hospital with serious injuries. Before the accident occurred, a man at the address backed a trailer loaded with ATVs into the side yard and unhooked the trailer. After unhitching the trailer, he got back into his truck and pulled forward. That's when he heard the girl scream. He told police he knew the girl was outside playing with her dog but thought she was on the other side of the house.

A caller to dispatch reports there are three children playing in the water at DeWitt Recreation Area on Cedar Street with no adult supervision. City police are responding.

A dog is reportedly locked inside a red Ford Escape in a handicapped parking space across from Batavia Downs Gaming & Hotel on Park Road. An animal control officer is responding.

UPDATE 1:35 p.m.: The officer is in the parking lot with the vehicle; she's waiting for a security guard from the Downs and has called for a zone car -- patrol car -- to the scene.

UPDATE 2:23 p.m.: Didn't hear an update other than the officer is clearing the scene at the Downs and heading to a dog-bite call received earlier today.

Two callers to dispatch report a pair of unsupervised little girls, about age 5, going door to door in Bergen asking people for money. One call was for Clinton Street and the other for Rochester Street.

Sheriff's deputies are responding.

UPDATE 2:43 p.m.: A sheriff's deputy asks where the girls were last seen and is told southbound in the first block on Clinton Street. He says he's delayed by a train momentarily.

UPDATE 3:12 p.m.: The deputy reports "checking the entirety of the village" and not finding the girls. He is going to speak with one of the callers who requested an interview.

UPDATE 6:41 p.m.: A reader shared the following:

The two little girls rang my doorbell after two o'clock. The older girl, about 7 years old, had a white, plastic grocery bag stretched out (trick or treat style), "Will you give us some money; we're homeless?" she asked. I looked her and her companion (she was about 5) over: they were in hoodie pajamas, barefoot. Both had brown hair and brown eyes. "You're barefoot. Aren't you cold?" I asked. "No, I'm okay," she replied. So I gave her some one-dollar bills I had handy and watched to see where they went. I called 911 and looked out my windows to see if there was an adult around or a car waiting on them. Neither was in sight. Last I saw them they were on my next-door neighbor's porch ringing his doorbell.

Well, here's an update. The girls with their Mom just came to my door to apologize and return the money I gave them. "We're sorry. We were trying to help our Mom. We're not homeless." I replied, "It's always good to help your Mom, and it's always good to be honest." Mom waved at me, and they left. I guess that's a happy ending. I'll never know what "helping our Mom" meant. You can use the information however you choose. I'm glad that two little girls aren't wandering around without shoes or soliciting money.

A caller to dispatch reports that a dog who resides in the 7800 block of Lewiston Road in Batavia is "always outside" and the caller is concerned about whether the dog has any food or shelter.

"It's been an ongoing issue for over a year now," says the dispatcher.
